Alia Bhatt marked the festive occasion of Dhanteras with the Kapoor family, celebrating alongside her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor and other members of the Kapoor clan. The actress shared a beautiful glimpse of the pre-Diwali celebrations on her Instagram Stories, delighting fans with the warm family moment.
Alia looked radiant in a shimmery golden saree paired with a matching blouse, complemented by a statement choker and traditional maangteeka. She styled her hair in a sleek, middle-parted open look and opted for golden-toned makeup that highlighted her festive glow. Joining her in the snapshot were Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor, both stunning in traditional attire, along with other women from the Kapoor family, showcasing the family’s strong bond and festive spirit.
While Alia enjoyed the celebrations at home, she recently made headlines for winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Jigra. Although she could not attend the ceremony, she penned an emotional note on Instagram expressing her gratitude to the team, co-stars, and fans. She wrote that the film would always remain close to her heart and thanked director Vasan Bala and the entire cast for bringing honesty to every frame.
Alia also expressed her appreciation to Karan Johar, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Production, calling the experience “full circle.” She gave a special shout-out to her sister Shaheen Bhatt, whom she referred to as her “real-life Jigra.”
Explaining her absence from the award ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that Alia is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film.
