Allu Arjun Among India's Top Celebrity Taxpayers for FY24
Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has made headlines by being named one of the highest tax-paying celebrities in India for the financial year 2023-24, according to Fortune India’s latest report. Known for his massive fan following in South Indian cinema, Arjun is the only Telugu actor to feature in the list of the top 22 celebrity taxpayers in the country.
The "Pushpa: The Rise" star contributed an impressive Rs 14 crore in taxes, solidifying his status as one of the key figures in India’s entertainment industry.
Topping the list is Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, who paid a whopping Rs 92 crore in taxes, while Tamil cinema’s “Thalapathy” Vijay secured the second spot with Rs 80 crore, surpassing prominent names like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and cricketer Virat Kohli.
Southern cinema is well-represented on the list, with Malayalam actor Mohanlal also paying Rs 14 crore in taxes, joining Allu Arjun in showcasing the financial might of South Indian cinema stars.
