Aswathama Story:
Gana(Naga Shaurya) returns to India to attend his sister’s engagement after working in the US for a long time. Right when the function is about to start, his sister attempts suicide. He saves her and shockingly comes to know that his sister is pregnant and the father to her child is not known. A helpless Shaurya starts investigating this case and tries to chase the mystery and finds a clue for them and finally nabs the culprit. How does he solves this mystery and takes his revenge forms the story of the movie.

Performance:
Naga Shaurya's terrific transformation from a lover boy to an action hero is awesome in his screen presence, body language, and action scenes and emotional scenes are very well performed. Female lead Mehreen does not have much to do, but she plays a good supporting role. Prince was effective in his small role. One of the biggest highlights of the movie is the Bengali actor Jisshu Sen Gupta, he is on another level and brings a scary effect to the story. The rest of the cast has performed well according to their roles.
Technical:
The movie, Aswathama has an interesting story and the cinematography has a realistic feel to it, which is very good. Music for the film is given by Sricharan Pakala is also ok. BGM makes an impact. Dialogues are an asset to the film. Action sequences are well choreographed and the editing by Garry is done well. Production values are fine. Director Ramana Teja did a decent job for a first-time director. He plays to his strengths and gives a new avatar to hero, Naga Shaurya.
Verdict:
Overall, Aswathama is an emotional thriller with a riveting first half. The plus points of the movie are the presence of Naga Shaurya and Jisshu Sen Gupta.
