#BoycottDearComrade is Trending on Twitter!
Vijay Devarakonda’s film is released today. The film is made in Telugu and dubbed into Kannada. The movie got a positive response from the audience and critics as well.
But, in Karnataka, the original Telugu film got more screens than dubbed Kannada film. This made Kannadigas angry and since then the hashtags like #BoycottDearComrade and #StopTeluguImposition are taking Twitter by storm.
Many comments were posted against the makers and distributors of Dear Comrade by the people in Karnataka, saying that Dear Comrade makers are trying to impose Telugu on them and neglecting 6 crores Kannadigas.
It is true that the film should have more screens in the mother tongue but as it is a Telugu film and there are many people who got settled in Karnataka, makers of the film might have released the Telugu version in more screens!
There is a very organised racket in Karnataka which wants to fail dubbing of Telugu films in Kannada and impose Telugu on 6 crore Kannadigas. We will fight them.#BoycottDearComrade#StopTeluguImposition

23 shows of Dear comrade in Telugu compared to zero shows of Kannada in Mysuru, cultural capital of Karnataka. Why the hell they even dubbed the movie to Kannada? #StopTeluguImposition #boycottdearcomrade
