Deepika Padukone to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is set to become the first Indian actress to be honoured with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her name appears on the official 2026 honoree list under the Motion Pictures category, released by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
This milestone recognises not only Deepika’s contributions to cinema but also the growing global influence of Indian entertainment. She will join international luminaries like Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, Rami Malek, and Timothée Chalamet. Other 2026 inductees include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shaquille O’Neal, and posthumous honorees like filmmaker Tony Scott and special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi.
The selection process is rigorous, involving hundreds of global nominations across five categories: film, television, music, live theatre, and sports entertainment. Final selections are made based on an individual’s achievements and cultural impact.
Deepika made her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017). Her performance was widely appreciated, establishing her as a cross-cultural star. In India, she remains a powerhouse performer, recently appearing in Singham Again and set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in King.
Her inclusion in the Walk of Fame list cements her status as a global icon and marks a breakthrough for Indian artists in international cinema. The honour not only elevates her legacy but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring actors worldwide, especially from India.
