EC watched Modi's biopic
EC today watched Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic on the orders of the Supreme Court.
Congress leaders have complained that the film is based on Modi's life story and it will influence voters if released during the election.
EC's deputy commissioner Umesh Sinha, Sandeep Saxena, a senior deputy election commissioner, three director general level officers and a team comprising Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer Ranbir Singh have watched the film.
The bench of Justice headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Deepak Gupta, and Justice Sanjiv Khanna also need to watch the film and give their opinion by April 22nd.
The film is scheduled to be released on April 11th, but the release of the film is stopped one day earlier to release. On April 12th, the filmmaker approached the Supreme Court.
Vivek Oberoi is playing the lead role in this movie directed by Omung Kumar. Sandeep Singh produced the film.
