Story: Ghani (Varun Tej) wants to win a medal for boxing at the national level and he is the son of 2004 AP state boxing champion, Vikramaditya (Upendra).

Ghani becomes the district boxing champion against his mother’ (Nadiya) will, Nadiya doesn’t want him to be associated with anything that disgraced his father. When Ghani comes to know about the past and the injustice that happened once to his father through Vijendra Sinha (Suniel Shetty), an opponent to his father, he decided to take revenge. What happens next, form the rest of the story.

Narration

Performance: Varun Tej has given his energetic performance as a boxer in the film. He is good in a few emotional scenes and his six-pack body look and chiseled body is highlighted. Actress Saiee Manjrekar in the role of girlfriend is good, the actress looks beautiful on screen.

Once again Jagapathi Babu steals the show with his performance and Upendra is good in the supporting role as he gets a major and crucial role as Varun Tej’ father. Sunil Shetty essays the coach of Varun Tej and does well and his acting skills are commendable. Naresh as a boxing coach is ok. Naveen Chandra as the boxing competitor to Varun excelled in his role and the rest of the cast of Ghani justify their roles.

Technical Aspects: The story of Ghani is predictable and the Cinematography done by George C Willaims has a realistic texture to the film and the boxing scenes are shot well. BGM makes an impact and dialogues are an asset. Editing is done well and the Production values are rich. Coming on the work of director Kiran Korrapati, he did an excellent job with this movie based on boxing.

Overall Analysis: The first half is decent and the interval twist is good. It splits time between the actor’s home life and the actress's (Saiee Manjrekar) infatuation with him. Varun puts his sweat and blood into this movie, the viewers can clearly observe it in the 2nd half of the film. The film banks heavily on everything from mother sentiment to the love story.
