On-Screen Performances
Chiranjeevi looks sublime in the role of a rule-maker and his salt and pepper look suits him very well. He has that aura to essay an intense role and still impress fans and audience without his usual strong elements of entertainment such as Songs, dances and comedy in this film.
Chiru shoulders the film with his towering performance. He is ably supported by the stellar cast. Satya Dev is a surprise package in the film. He got a good role and nailed it as an antagonist. Murali Sharma is one other artist who performed very good as a partner in crime to Satya dev.
Nayanatara as wife of Satya dev got a lengthy role and the actress did pretty well. Other supporting artists such as Puri, Samuthirakani, Sunil, Divi, Murali Mohan and others did justice to their roles.
Salman as Masoom bhai makes a brief look but he packs a punch and it is a treat to watch him and Chiru in a same frame.
Off Screen Talents?
The movie is helmed by Mohan Raja who is very successful at directing remake movies. He has fine-tuned the Lucifer script a fair bit and there are multiple new additions to the script. His revisions worked out really nice and Chiranjeevi’s character her.e has more prominence than that of Mohan Lal’s in the original version.
Thaman’s background score is terrific, and he highlighted several action packed sequences with his powerful background score. Nirav Shah’s visual composition is brilliant and the frames look rich and diverse, thanks to some brilliant work of cinematography.
Positive Points
Chiranjeevi performance
Supporting cast performance
Salman and Chiru scenes
BGM
2nd half
Negative Points:
Some VFX scenes
Slight lag in 1st half
Overall Verdict:
Godfather starts powerful and gets massive by the end. Although the movie runs on a serious note, director has made sure to incorporate interesting scenes at regular intervals and some mass elements for megastar fans which appeals to normal cinegoer as well. Go watch it and you won’t be disappointed.
