Harish Shankar To Helm A Malayalam Remake

Ayyappanam Koshiyam had been one of the thrilling dramas that became a huge blockbuster in Malayalam. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menen shared the screen space as the prominent roles proved their mettle in the movie. Sachy aka Sachidanandan helmed the movie, who is also a theatre artist has helped him to bring out the impeccable naturality in the characters.
Telugu remake of the movie will be bankrolled by Sitara Entertainments and the latest buzz is that Rana and Ravi Teja are all set to lock horns in the lead roles. Previously, the makers have approached Nandamuri Balakrishna and Venkatesh to play the same roles but, things didn’t plan out well due to the shoot dates. Later Rana agreed to essay Prithviraj’s role in Telugu.
An official announcement about the cast and crew will be released post lockdown issue. Major part of the movie is likely to be shot in picturesque locations such as Ooty and Kodaikanal where Ayyapanum Koshiyum was also picturized. Starting at now, there is no clarity on the details of the casting and further aspects of the movie. As per the recent reports, Harish Shankar is in talks for coordinating the remake in Telugu remake considering his ability to make the commercial projects.
Simultaneously, Sudheer Varma’s name too is taken in the media reports. However, there’s no official confirmation about it. The makers are in final discussions with them and they may conclude a name very soon.
