High Court on Maharshi Tickets Price
The owners of some theatres have sought the permission of the High Court to increase the price of the tickets. However, the High court decision was not yet out.
Meanwhile, the film Maharshi has been released. The ticket prices are already high than usual. But, theatre owners again approached the High Court for more hike.
High Court asked Licensing authority and city police commissioner to decide on the petition by theatre owners before 16th May.
"Generally for any big film, ticket prices go up so as the producers to recover the investment in the first four days. These days 100 and 50 days films are nowhere, so the producers are relying on the first weekend collections," Maharshi movie producer Dil Raju said according to the sources.
Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav stated that state government is not in support of the ticket price hike.
