High Ticket Prices Approved for "Kalki 2898 AD" Amidst Excitement and Controversy

The Telangana government has approved higher ticket prices and special screenings for the upcoming movie "Kalki 2898 AD," set to release on June 27.
According to the government order, theaters are allowed to show a special sixth screening at 5:30 am on the release day, with tickets priced at Rs. 200 (including GST). For the first eight days, from June 27 to July 4, the movie will have five screenings daily in all theaters. Regular show tickets will see a special hike: Rs. 75 more in single screens and Rs. 100 more in multiplexes. This means tickets will cost Rs. 413 in multiplexes and Rs. 265 in single screens, excluding 3D charges. For the special sixth show on opening day, tickets will be Rs. 495 in multiplexes and Rs. 377 in single screens, also excluding 3D charges.
Fans are excited about the early screening opportunity, but many social media users have expressed concerns over the high prices. One user commented, "With early OTT releases affecting the Telugu movie industry, high ticket prices for films like #Kalki are a big no! If this continues, who will come to theaters? Let's keep our cinema affordable and accessible."
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, "Kalki 2898 AD" features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, and will release across India.
