Hollywood in City Of Dreams!

Mumbai is called the ‘City of Dreams’. It is vibrant and happening. The place has a charm and it lures people from across the globe, not just for tourism, but also to become an actor. The place is also used as a shooting ground in numerous movies. Not only Bollywood, but Hollywood has also shown interest in the city that never sleeps. Here is a list of some of the Hollywood movies which were shot in Mumbai –
Tenet
Tenet is an upcoming action thriller film which features ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson in the lead role. The movie is directed by the famous filmmaker Christopher Nolan. Veteran actress Dimple Kapadia is also part of the film and will be seen in a pivotal role. The shooting of the film is in progress and the recent location for the shoot in Mumbai, near Gateway of India. The Nolan and Pattinson arrived in the city last Saturday and will spend around two weeks in India.
Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol
It is the fourth part of the action thriller series Mission Protocol, which features Tom Cruise as a spy. The film was released in 2011. One of the scenes in the movie were shot in Mumbai, where Tom finds the culprit. The movie also features Anil Kapoor and he is part of the same scene from Mumbai.
Slumdog Millionaire
This Oscar-winning film by the ace filmmaker Danny Boyle has major portion shot in Mumbai. Dev Patel plays the lead role. The film revolves around a teenage boy who hails from slums of Mumbai, but with his knowledge, he ends up winning a million in a reality show. Anil Kapoor plays a significant role in the film. It is based loosely on the Vikas Swarup's novel 'Q & A'. The movie became a super-hit and did extremely well at the box-office.
Million Dollar Arm
This 2014 film is a biographical drama based on the life of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, who were spotted by sports agent J. B. Bernstein after winning a reality show competition. It is helmed by filmmaker Craig Gillespie. Backdrops of Mumbai were used as the shooting location for some of the scenes in the film. The music of the film is composed by A. R. Rahman.
Outsourced
Outsourced is a romantic comedy film directed by John Jeffcoat. The major portion of the film was shot in Mumbai. It revolves around a person Todd, who is asked to travel to India as his department was outsourced. He faces a lot of difficulty in training the people here. The movie was released in 2006 and garnered multiple awards.
