Indian Singer Banned for Performing in Pakistan!
Mika Singh is an Indian playback singer and live performer. He sang many songs in Bollywood and has also released several solo albums. He is the one who has sung an energetic song ‘Yahoon Yahoon’ of Telugu film Mirchi. Now, this popular singer has been banned and boycotted by All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) for performing at a wedding in Karachi, Pakistan. He performed at the wedding of daughter of a former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf's billionaire cousin. It is said that Mika has charged Rs 1.06 crores as remuneration for his performance.
AICWA said in a statement that Mika Singh prioritized money over nation’s pride when India and Pakistan are on the war of words on Article 370. Videos of Mika’s performance at the event are doing rounds on social media now. "He will face legal consequences in the court of law," said AICWA President Suresh Gupta. He also warned everyone to not work with Mika to avoid punishment and ban! Mika Singh was invited to Karachi along with 14 crew members from his team for the event and he went to perform at the concert for huge money. This made people furious on him.
“When Bollywood gets banned, Pakistanis get singers flown down to sing Bollywood songs for them. Mika Singh performing in Pakistan currently. Alag hi level ,” a Twitter user said. “Happy that Indian singer Mika Singh performed at the mehndi of Gen Musharraf's relative recently in Karachi. God for bid if it was Nawaz Sharif's relative it would be raining ghadari k hashtag already,” another girl tweeted. Twitter is filled with hate messages on Mika Singh and people are feeling that AICWA has taken the right decision.
