International Content Causing Headaches in India

Altered Carbon was the name of a show that got a lot of attention. In addition to an interesting plot, the show had a lot of naked people and sexual scenes. The show also got into the living rooms of Indians because Netflix ads were everywhere on social media, especially on YouTube.
Now, Netflix is being sued because an episode of the American show Big Bang Theory from 15 years ago made a rude joke about the star Madhuri Dixit. Streaming services are on shaky ground, especially when it comes to foreign material.
Usually, rights come with a lot of rules that say the shows have to be changed or made more suitable for the Indian market, just like Hollywood movies. In India, for example, it is never okay to be naked in front. But because Indian viewers are hooked on OTT shows, they now want to watch them as they were made, without any changes.
Even though there are limits on OTT, it's hard to decide whether to show the shows as they are or change them to fit Indians. Also, the government's view is that it has given people a chance to be creative, not to do something illegal.
Some Indians don't mind the shows, but others think they must be stopped.
