Jai Bhim Goes To Oscar

Tamil star Suriya’s latest film ‘Jai Bhim’ helmed by TJ Gnanavel was released in November 2021. The movie which was inspired by the true events of the tribal community was garnished with positive and reviews from the movie lovers and fans.
The film Jai Bhim has been nominated in the Golden Globes 2022 under the category of ‘Best Non-English Language Film’. Now, a scene from the movie Jai Bhim starring Suriya along with the director’s story narrative has been featured on the official YouTube channel of the Oscars.
The film has been featured in the official YouTube channel of the Academy Awards, which is all about a pregnant wife who seeks help from a certain advocate Chandry after her husband goes missing in Police custody. The film Jai Bhim attracted many controversies as the film portrays caste basis preference and treatment by the police.
We have already reported that Vanniyar Sangam had sent a legal notice to the offices of Duriya and TJ Gnanavel over the depiction of the particular community in the film. Golden Globe Awards is regarded as the 2nd biggest international award following the Oscar which is recognized by the industry.
The film becomes the first Tamil movie to receive a prestigious honor from Oscars.
