Jayalalithaa Web Series Queen First Look!

The life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor J. Jayalalithaa is not only getting a film, but also a web series which is titled ‘Queen’. Today, the first look poster of Queen has been released in which actress Ramya Krishna was seen in a white saree with AIADMK party’s flag border. Ramya is playing the role of Jayalalithaa in the web series and in the poster, she is seen addressing a large number of people.

Ramya Krishna was approached by the makers as she got very popular all over India after Baahubali. As Sivagami, her performance was stunning and impressed everyone who watched the film. So, makers of Queen have roped her in to play former Tamil Nadu CM as people can impress easily. Popular director Gautam Menon and Kidaari fame Prasath Murugesan are jointly directing the web series while well-known digital streaming app MX Player is bankrolling it.

According to the sources, Queen will categorize Jayalalithaa’s life into three segments -a school-going girl, a teenager and the phase when she joined politics. Sources revealed that Gautham Menon has directed five episodes and Prasath has directed the other five. And another two episodes are directed by both of them. After Baahubali, Ramya Krishna was seen in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Vandha Rajava Thaan Varuven, Dev and Super Deluxe. Also, she is going to appear in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarlieru Neekevvaru’.
