Kajal Reacts To Censor Issues With ‘Paris Paris’
The upcoming comedy-drama film, Paris Paris, directed by Ramesh Aravind and produced by Manu Kumaran, is facing censor issues. The film is a remake of Hindi film Queen which was released in 2014. It is female-centric film and features Kajal Agrawal in the lead role, alongside Elli Avram, Vinaya Prasad and Bhargavi Narayan in supporting roles.
The censor board has suggested cutting as many as 25 scenes before giving a green flag. They have also asked makers to remove audio in a few scenes. The filmmakers are planning to approach the Revised Committee for review. They want to release the film as they wished, to create a better impact on the audiences.
Kajal Agrawal is upset on the censor board decision. She commented, “I am surprised to know that a film like 'Paris Paris' is facing such issues. We have neither changed anything from the Hindi version nor added anything extra either. Still, there is an issue. 'Queen' remake hasn't faced any Censor issues in other South Indian Languages. May be, Tamil Censor Board rules are like that!”.
The remake of Kangana Ranaut film is also being made in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada by Manu Kumaran. Once, Tamil version is certified, all the four movies will be released on the same day.
The movie revolves around a Tamil girl, who goes to her honeymoon in Paris alone after her marriage is called off.
