Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi Goes Viral

February 24 marks the birth anniversary of late political leader Jayalalithaa and the makers of Thalaivi released a new look of Kangana from Thalaivi on the special occasion.

On Monday morning, Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel shared a new picture, in which the movie's lead actress Kangana Ranaut can be seen dressed as Jayalalithaa. We can see Kangana wearing a white saree, a red bindi on her forehead and a warm smile.

Sharing the look from the movie, she wrote on social media, "Kangana in and as #Thalaivi ... without any prosthetics or any special effects, Kangana looks like Jaya Amma, shocking, the determination can make anything happen #Thalaivi."

Thalaivi is a biopic of J Jayalalithaa, who was a film star and renowned dancer before she forayed into politics, and went onto becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The movie touts to shed light on the lesser-known aspects of her life. Thalaivi will release in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. Directed by AL Vijay and co-produced by Vishnu VardhanInduri and Shailesh R Singh, the movie will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 26, this year.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut's team also remembered Jayalalithaa on her 72nd birth anniversary by sharing a throwback picture of the legendary leader.

On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari's sports drama Panga. The actress also has Sarvesh Mewara's Tejas in the pipeline, in which she will play an Air Force pilot.
