Kantara: Chapter 1 – Jr NTR Predicts a Big Blockbuster

Kantara: Chapter 1 has become one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2025. Directed and acted by Rishab Shetty, the movie is a prequel to the pan-India hit Kantara and is slated for release on October 2, coinciding with the Dussehra festival. Produced by Hombale Films, the film has already generated huge buzz after its multilingual trailer launch. To mark the release, a grand pre-release event was organized in Hyderabad, where Jr NTR graced the occasion as the chief guest.

NTR delivered an emotional speech, recalling stories told by his grandmother that reminded him of Kantara’s themes. He praised Rishab Shetty for excelling in all aspects of cinema, from acting to direction. NTR lauded Rishab’s dedication, including his efforts to reach remote temples for filming, and called him a brother. He confidently predicted that Kantara: Chapter 1 would be a “big, big blockbuster” and urged fans to watch it only in theatres. He also acknowledged his friend Prashanth Neel, Hombale Films, and the team for their commitment.

Rishab Shetty expressed gratitude to NTR, the Telugu audience, and his crew, calling the event in Hyderabad an emotional moment. Other speakers included producer Ravi of Mythri Movie Makers, who hailed the trailer as mind-blowing; distributor Shashidhar Reddy, who emphasized the film’s strong music; and heroine Rukmini Vasanth, who thanked fans for their support. Costume designer Pragathi Shetty praised Rishab as “a perfect man,” while Hombale Films co-founder Chaluve Gowda called the movie a tribute to Indian roots. Lyricist Rambabu Gosala expressed confidence in its cultural impact.

With Jr NTR’s backing, Rishab’s vision, and Hombale’s production strength, Kantara: Chapter 1 is being positioned not only as a cinematic spectacle but also as a cultural and spiritual journey expected to make history at the box office.
