Khaidi Review – A Serious Storyline!

Karthi-starrer Khaidi (Khaithi) has been released today simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The movie got a good response with its first look, teaser and trailer. It is already revealed that the film has no lead actress as there is no need. Now, let’s review the film!

Khaidi Story:

A group of five police seizes the costly drug and so the drug dealers group plans to kill all the five. They target the police intelligence office with the help of an informer. In this process, they supply drugs based liquor to a private police party. To help the police, an officer named Vijay (Narain) takes the help of a just-released prisoner Delhi (Karthi). What did Delhi do to help Narain and save the police? What’s the back story of Delhi? Forms the remaining story!

Khaidi Review:

Karthi did his best as a prisoner who has a kind heart. Though he looks terrific, his character is good. With mere expressions, Karthi has stolen the hearts of the audience easily. Narain is another lead of the film and he performed very well as a police officer who wants to save his mates. The emotions between Karthi and his daughter came out very well. The girl who played Karthi’s daughter is so cute and acted well. A senior actor who acted as a constable performed superbly. The man who played the Lorry driver role is also good.

The direction is good and production values are superb. Cinematography is amazing as the night scenes are too good. Editing could be better and 10 to 15 minutes of the film could have been chopped off easily. BGM is impressive.

Verdict: Khaidi is a serious emotional drama and so they are no commercial elements. We can’t blame anyone for that, as there is no need for commercials as the storyline is a serious one. The film is good and watchable.
