Loafer Actress for Allu Arjun!

Allu Arjun who is currently busy in the shoot of Trivikram’s film which is recently titled as ‘Ala Vaikuntapuramlo’, will start working on his next film ‘Icon’ under the direction of Venu Sriram. According to the sources, Allu Arjun is going to pair up with actress Disha Patani who made her debut in Telugu with the film Loafer, there is no official confirmation though. Disha after acting in Loafer didn’t get any interesting offers in Telugu. Later, she has appeared in Bollywood films such as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kung Fu Yoga, Welcome to New York, Baaghi 2 and Bharat. Currently, she is working on her upcoming film ‘Malang’ under the direction of Mohit Suri.

Loafer which was released in 2015 had failed to impress the audience. After a long gap, Disha is making her re-entry in Tollywood through Icon. Initially, makers of Icon have approached RRR actress Alia Bhatt to play the lead in the film, but as the actress is very busy with her current films, she couldn’t sign for Allu Arjun’s film. Though Allu Arjun had shown a keen interest in roping in Alia, makers started searching for another actress as there is no option left.

Finally, they felt Disha would be the right option. On the other side, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo has completed its second schedule in Kakinada and the movie unit has returned to Hyderabad. Ala Vaikuntapuramlo will be releasing for Sankranthi 2020 and is competing with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevaru.
