Man Dies at Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh' Shoot
In an unfortunate accident, a crew member of the film lost his life on the sets of the film Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand yesterday.
According to local media, a 30-year-old Ramu, working with a generator company in Premnagar area of Dehradun, has died at a five-star hotel in Mussoorie where the shooting of the Shahid Kapoor starer Kabir Singh is taking place.
He was checking the water level in the generator when his muffler got entangled with the generator’s fan and in the process, Kumar too was pulled in. Kumar sustained serious injuries on his head. He was immediately rushed to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he was put on the ventilator for a few hours before he passed away.
Ram Kumar is survived by three brothers and a sister. The producers of the film, Cine1 Studios and T Series Films, have issued a joint statement: “We are deeply saddened by the loss. We are extending our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr Ram Kumar. We are offering support to the family in the immediate aftermath of this tragic event.”
Kabir Singh is scheduled to be released on June 21 this year, focuses on the title character. Singh is an alcoholic surgeon with anger-management issues who goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover marries someone else.
