Box office result of Akhil’s latest film Mr. Majnu turned to be a shocker for him and also his father Nagarjuna. Akhil believed that this movie would be bringing the required hit that is anticipated for his career and he carried immense confidence on the movie. Even Nagarjuna laid faith in the movie and felt this will help in the growth of Akhil's career.

The promotional interview videos of Nagarjuna and Akhil tells us their confidence on the film. But unfortunately, the movie didn’t turn up as expected and was disliked by the audience due to its routine story.

Now Akhil who is three films old has been in such a bad phase that he at least needs to deliver an average fare to build his career. Nagarjuna who planned Akhil's career by directing him with biggies like V V Vinayak and Vikram Kumar failed wholly.
