Nikhil about his initial struggles in Tollywood

Nikhil, one of the handsome and talented actors of the South film industry. He has a lot of craze among youngsters and his films got him good recognition.

In fact, he lost steam running after mass image following the stardom he achieved with Happy Days but then he got back his lost fame with films like Karthikeya, Swamy Ra Ra and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada.

His movie, Arjun Suravaram which is a remake of Tamil hit film Kanithan is going to hit the theatres very soon, he has all his hopes on this film. Meanwhile, Nikhil surprised all his fans by expressing his struggles in the initial days in the industry.

He said, “I went to auditions after knowing that makers are looking for actors for Happy Days. Many participated in the auditions. I did not get the call even after many days."

"So I managed to meet Sekhar Kammula with the help of my contacts. He offered me a chance after seeing me. He told me that had I not met him personally, I wouldn't have got the opportunity," said the actor.

To this, he also added, "I was flooded with offers after Happy Days' success. Since I had no idea how to sign offers, I used to give green signal to even people who came and met me with Rs 10 lakhs pay.

"They used to do Hungama as if doing films with me for a few days and then disappear completely. In that way many cheated me and taken me for a ride", says Nikhil.
