Popular Tollywood Veteran Actor Passed Away

M Balayya passed away today morning at his residence in Hyderabad. He was a writer, actor, director, and producer in Telugu cinema and had acted in 300 films and he was 94.
The actor was born at Chavupadu, Amaravathi mandalam, Guntur district to Mannava Guravaiah Chowdary and Annapurnamma. He was inspired by the drama during his college days and ventured into the film industry with guidance from Tapi Chanakya.
He was best known for essaying the roles such as judge and police officer in the films. Balayya had produced many hit films under his banner Amrutha films. He made his debut as an actor with the social drama Ethuku Pai Ethu, helmed by Tapi Chanakya and made by Sarathi Studios.
The films such as Bhagyadevata, Parvati Kalyanam, Kumkuma Rekha established him as an actor and is best known for acting in Bala Bharatam, Pelli Sandadi, Alluri Seetharama Raju, Devaraya, Yamaleela, Nene Monaganni, Tappu Chesi Pappu Koodu and Shri Krishna Pandaviyam.
As a director, he made films such as Pasupu Taadu, Police Alludu, Nijam Chebite Nerama. He also won Nandi awards as a writer and producer.
