Rajamouli: "A Slave Only to His Story" in ‘Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli’

Mumbai: The trailer for the upcoming documentary ‘Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli’ was unveiled on Monday. The documentary features prominent figures from the Indian film industry praising Rajamouli's dedication to storytelling, while also highlighting his intense work ethic.
The trailer opens with Rajamouli expressing his passion: “I want to tell an incredible story. I want people to get invested in the movie.” This is followed by Jr NTR, star of Rajamouli's 'RRR,' saying, “This person is born to make movies. He is born to tell stories that haven’t been told.”
Prabhas, the lead actor in 'Baahubali,' describes Rajamouli as “a mad person, that’s all,” underscoring his creative genius. The trailer also features Canadian filmmaker James Cameron, who acknowledges Rajamouli’s talent and respect within the industry, saying he has earned the right to work with anyone.
Ram Charan, another 'RRR' star, shares his astonishment at seeing Rajamouli’s films from a third-person perspective, often feeling amazed to see himself in such grand productions.
The documentary also delves into the challenges of working with Rajamouli. His collaborators candidly discuss his obsession with storytelling and creating massive action spectacles. Ram Charan recounts incidents where Rajamouli’s intense focus led to equipment breakdowns on set. Jr NTR adds that Rajamouli’s relentless pursuit of perfection sometimes makes him seem devoid of empathy, describing him as a madman.
The trailer concludes with Rajamouli stating that the only thing he is a slave to is the story he tells.
