Rajinikanth Speaks About Telugu People

Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie, Darbar, will be released on 9 January 2020. Yesterday, the movie team organized a grand pre-release event, where the cast and crew spoke about the project, showing their confidence in the film’s success. Rajinikanth, too, expressed his happiness for getting so much love from Telugu people. He also assured that Darbar will be a complete entertainment package for the audience.

"I am very happy that Telugus are loving me just as much as Tamilians. It is my luck. Darbar is an action entertainer which will entertain everyone for sure," Rajinikanth said in his speech. "I didn’t expect that the event would be this big and I am acting for 70 years as a hero because of your love, acceptance, and encouragement," Rajini added. He also advised people to speak less, eat less, sleep less, and expect less to get success.

"Telugu people will make a film hit if it is good. My films Basha, Narasimha, Chandramukhi, and Robot had become hits in Telugu, not because I have acted in those films, but because they were good enough to attract the audience," he said. Rajini also said that he has waited for 15 years to work with AR Murugadoss and it’s happening now. He also praised every person who worked for the film.

Produced by Allirajah Subaskaran, under Lyca Productions, Darbar has Anirudh Ravichander’s music. Nayanthara is playing the leading lady, while Nivetha Thomas is playing the role of Rajinikanth’s daughter. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is playing a villain. Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah, and Dalip Tahil are playing supporting roles. Cinematography and editing have been handled by Santhosh Sivan and Sreekar Prasad, respectively.
