Rajinikanth’s Response To Media Question On CAA & Jamia Protests

Rajinikanth has confirmed it already that he will join politics next year. Recently, he has attended the trailer launch event of his upcoming film ‘Darbar’, held in Mumbai. At the event, Rajini was asked about his opinion on the Citizenship Amendment Act, Jamia protests and police crackdown on the students. To this, Rajini’s answer has surprised everyone and they support him. Superstar said that he doesn’t want to talk about politics as it is a movie event. He said that he will speak on the issue on a different platform.

Earlier, actors like Taapsee Pannu, Akshay Kumar, Richa Chadha, Vikrant Massey, Swara Bhaskar, and many others denounced the act of government and police. "Wonder if this is a start or the end. Whatever it is, this is surely writing new rules of the land and those who don’t fit in can very well see the consequences. This video breaks the heart and hopes altogether. Irreversible damage and I’m not talking about just the life and property," Taapsee Pannu tweeted.

"My heart goes out to all the students back home in Delhi. In a democracy like ours, it's sad to see violence against citizens for voicing their opinion through peaceful protests. There should be no place for violence of any form & intent in our country. I strongly condemn this act," Sidharth Malhotra said. Besides these people, several other Bollywood celebrities have reacted to this issue. But none to a few South celebs have responded on the same. Rajini fans are waiting to know his views on the protests. We expect him to speak on the issue after the release of Darbar.

Darbar is directed by AR Murugadoss and Nayanthara is playing the leading lady of the movie. Nayan and Rajini are working together for the second time after Chandramukhi. Allirajah Subaskaran who produced Rajini’s 2.0 has bankrolled this movie too, under Lyca Productions. Suniel Shetty is playing the villain and Nivetha Thomas will be seen as Rajini’s daughter. Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah, and Dalip Tahil are playing supporting roles. Darbar will hit the screens on January 10, 2020.
