Ram Charan Says He Is Blessed To Be Chiranjeevi’s Son

On the eve of Acharya’s pre-release event, Ram Charan turned quite emotional while speaking on stage, he started his speech by thanking every technician who worked for the movie and slowly poured his heart out.

He also thanked all the Mega fans for attending the event and making it a grand success. Ram Charan said that he was always scared about whether or not Rajamouli would let him shoot for the film Acharya, as he was busy with his RRR at the time of Acharya, and credited his father for Rajamouli letting Ram Charan be a part of the film Acharya.

He said that it was Rajamouli’s respect towards Chiranjeevi and Charan’s mother, Surekha’s dream of watching father and son on the same screen, that made Rajamouli let Charan go and do Acharya.

He also noted that he is very much interested to work with director Koratala Siva since Mirchi, but things didn’t work out due to their other commitments and said that he had always wondered how Koratala’s films made more than 100 crores at the box office, given the unique characterizations of the lead actors in his movies, but that it was only after he worked with him on Acharya he realizes the power of his writing.

Finishing off his speech by talking about his father, he said that Chiranjeevi never expected anything from him, except that he should always respect elders. He said that it was through observation that he learned a lot from his father and said that he’s truly blessed to be his son.

Charan said that Acharya was the first movie in his life that he woke up with his father and slept with him for almost 20 days and said that it was the best time of his life and would cherish those memories for the rest of his life, and said that these memories would make up for his entire life, even if he doesn’t get to work with his father again.
