Rana to Produce Cricketer Biopic!

Rana Daggubati who was introduced to the Telugu Film Industry through a political drama ‘Leader’ has impressed people with his very first film. Later, he has stolen the hearts of Telugu audience with his performance in the films Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Baahubali and The Ghazi Attack. While he has a hand full of projects for acting, now, he wants to expand his income by starting a new business!

When we say it’s a new business, that doesn’t mean it belongs to some other sector. Rana is going to work in the film industry only but he is now debuting as a producer! We all know Rana’s father Suresh Babu is a big producer and has produced several films to date. His banner Suresh Productions is quite popular in Telugu. But Rana doesn’t want to produce his films under his father’s production house as he wants to be independent and is going to start his own production house.

Keeping this aside, Rana revealed interesting news that he and Suresh Productions is going to associate with DAR films to produce the biopic of Cricketer Muttiah Muralidharan. Rana himself confirmed the news on Twitter. Vijay Sethupathi will essay the role of Sri Lankan legend in the movie and the film is yet to be titled. MS Sripathy is directing the film and the shoot will begin from December 2019.

Currently, Rana is working on multiple projects. His film ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ is undershooting and it will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. He is also going to appear in Hiranya Kashyap, Madai Thiranthu / 1945, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Housefull 4, Virataparvam 1992 and Bhuj: The Pride of India.
