Ravi Varman Out Of Indian 2!
The upcoming vigilante action film Indian 2, which is being directed by S. Shankar is all set to be resumed back in August in 10 days, as reported by a source close to the film unit. Rajahmundry will be used as a location for the major portion of the shoot. The film was put on hold due to differences over the budget between Shankar and Lyca Productions.
A source close to cinematographer Ravi Varman revealed that as the film was put on hold for nearly five months, he had to back out. Ravi has signed other projects which will begin soon. Director roped in Rathnavelu aka Randy, as a replacement to Ravi. Randy has worked with Shankar before in Rajinikant’s Endhiran.
Kamal Haasan, who is currently hosting Big Boss 3 Tamil, will join the shooting from 12th August. Apart from Kamal, other actors who are expected to be part of this schedule are Siddharth, Rakul Preet, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Kajal Aggarwal.
The movie is a sequel of 1996 film Indian, which featured Kamal Haasan in dual roles with Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar. Kamal Haasan and Nedumudi will be seen in the same roles from the first part. Veteran actor Delhi Ganesh will also be seen in the second part. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal will be playing the role of an antagonist in the film.
