Saif Ali Khan Opens Up About His Role From Adipurush

In the first week of September, Young Rebel Star, Prabhas announced on social media that Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is a part of his film as he is essaying the role of main antagonist in upcoming film ‘Adipurush.’ While Prabhas will be playing the titular role of Rama in the 3D mythological epic, Saif will be essaying the role of Lankesh, the evil king of Lanka.

In a recent media interaction, Saif Ali Khan spoke about his role in Adipurush for the first time and said that director Om Raut has made the evil character entertaining. He said that “It’s interesting to essay a demon king, less strictures in that, but we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose.”

Kriti Sanon is the top contender to essay the leading lady for the role of Sita in the upcoming film, ‘Adipurush.’ To be directed on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore, the film has an extensive range of visual effects and the makers are reportedly in talks with the VFX supervisors of the film ‘Avatar’ and ‘Star Wars’ to work on the graphics part. As per the recent reports, the film will be completely shot in green mat technology and so, the entire shoot will take place indoors. The upcoming film is scheduled for a release on August 11th, 2022.
