Sekhar Kammula Trying New Concept

Sekhar Kammula is one of the popular directors in the industry, for making feel-good romantic dramas such as Happy Days and Godavari. Currently, he is working with Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya for an upcoming romantic entertainer Love Story.

In this movie, Sai Pallavi is playing the role of a high class, College girl and Chaitanya is essaying the role of a rural guy from Telangana. As per the latest buzz it was heard that, director Sekhar Kammula is trying to step out of his comfort zone and want to try out the thriller genre. He had tried his hand at this genre before as he had made the film Anamika, the Telugu-Tamil remake of the award-winning Bollywood thriller entertainer Kahaani.

‘Anamika’ was well received by Telugu audience and the movie lovers but failed to create an impact. Lady superstar Nayantara played the role of Vidya Balan’ in this version of the movie. It was titled in Tamil as Nee Enge En Anbe. However, official confirmation from the director regarding his future projects is still awaited.

Sekhar has made his directorial debut with Dollar Dreams in 2000, which was a critical success, and also won him the National Film Award for Best First movie of a director. His second film was Anand, which was a blockbuster, released in 2004.
