It is said that marriages are made in heaven and it is true. When it comes to celebrities, they generally focus on their career first and then think about settling in life. Some actresses continue acting after marrying, while some leave their career and their priority becomes their family. Here is a list of some of the South Indian actresses who got married and are living happily –

Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu

Namrata Shirodkar met Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu on the sets of their movie Vamsi. After the shooting of the movie was finished, they started dating and finally married on 10^th February 2005. The couple has two kids – A son named Gautam Krishna who was born in 2006 and a daughter named Sitara who was born in 2012. Namrata bid goodbye to acting after her marriage.

Amala and Akkineni Nagarjuna

Amala started dating Akkineni Nagarjuna in the early 90s and the duo then married in 1992. They were blessed with a baby boy in 1994 and they named him Akhil Akkineni. Nagarjuna was previously married to Lakshmi but after six years of marriage, they got divorced. Amala is the stepmother of Naga Chaitanya, Nagarjuna’s first child with Lakshmi.

Jyothika Saravanan and Suriya

Jyothika was at the peak of her career when she married actor Suriya on 11^th September 2006. The two were engaged for several years before getting married. They have also acted together in as many as seven films. The couple has two children – Son Dev born in 2007 and Daughter Diya born in 2010.

Nisha Aggarwal and Karan Valecha

Nisha Aggarwal is the younger sister of Kajal Aggarwal. She met Business Management Graduate Karan Valecha through a common friend, dated for some time and then married him on 28^th December 2013. Karan works in his family business Valecha Engineering Limited and Gold's Gym. Nisha still works in the industry.

Genelia D’souza and Ritesh Deshmukh

Genelia was linked to Ritesh after the two acted in movie Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. After a courtship of ten years, the couple finally got married in 2012, with Hindu and Christian traditions. They have two sons – Riaan born in 2014 and Rahyl born in 2016.

Asin’s Marriage

Asin married co-founder of Micromax Rahul Sharma in January 2016. She quit acting after the wedding. The couple has a lovely daughter named Arin, who was born in 2017.
