Telangana Govt Allows Hike in Rates for Special Shows of Prabhas Starrer Kalki 2898 AD

The Telangana government has approved a hike in ticket prices and allowed special shows for the release of Kalki 2898 AD. The film, set to release on June 27, will have a special sixth show at 5:30 AM on the release day, with tickets priced at Rs. 200 (inclusive of GST). For the first eight days, the movie will be screened five times a day, with increased ticket prices: Rs. 413 in multiplexes and Rs. 265 in single screens, excluding 3D charges. The special sixth show tickets will cost Rs. 495 in multiplexes and Rs. 377 in single screens.
While fans are excited about the early screenings, some social media users have expressed concerns over the high ticket prices, arguing that it makes cinema less accessible. Kalki 2898 AD, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, features a high-profile cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, and is set for a Pan-India release.
