Trisha Krishnan Responds to Controversy Amid Vijay’s Divorce Drama
Actress Trisha Krishnan has addressed the criticism and controversy surrounding her alleged connection with Tamil star Vijay amid his ongoing divorce proceedings with his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam.
Speculation about Trisha and Vijay intensified after the two actors were seen together at the wedding of film producer Kalpathi Agoram, associated with AGS Entertainment. Their appearance at the event quickly became a topic of discussion on social media and added to rumours regarding Vijay’s alleged extramarital relationship.
The rumours gained further attention after filmmaker and actor R. Parthiban made remarks during the Galatta Awards ceremony that many interpreted as a reference to Trisha. When her name and photograph appeared on the event’s screen, Parthiban jokingly suggested that “Kundavai” should remain at home for a few days — a comment referencing Trisha’s character in the film Ponniyin Selvan.
Trisha later responded through a post on social media, indirectly criticising the remark. She clarified that her name and image had been added to the awards ceremony segment at the last moment upon someone’s request. The actress also wrote that simply holding a microphone does not make a person intelligent or humorous, suggesting that careless comments can easily amplify foolishness.
Meanwhile, Vijay addressed his supporters during a recent political event and urged them not to be distracted by his personal issues. He said he would handle the matter privately and encouraged his followers to focus on public concerns instead.
The controversy comes as Sangeetha has filed legal petitions seeking to remain in their matrimonial home while the divorce proceedings continue.
