Unni Mukundan’s Instagram Hacked; Joins List of Celebs Facing Cyber Attacks

Actor Unni Mukundan has fallen victim to a cyberattack after his official Instagram account was hacked. On Tuesday, the Malayalam and Tamil film star took to his verified Facebook page to alert fans about the breach. He warned followers not to interact with any content being posted from his compromised handle, @iamunnimukundan, stressing that hackers were now in control.
Mukundan, known for roles in films like Marco, Malikkappuram, and Garudan, assured fans that his team is actively working with relevant platforms to resolve the issue. He also urged followers to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal information until the situation is under control.
This incident adds Mukundan to a growing list of Indian celebrities who have suffered similar social media hacks in recent months. Actress Shruti Haasan recently had her X (formerly Twitter) account hacked, cautioning fans through Instagram stories. Prior to that, National Award-winning music director D Imman also experienced a security breach on his X account, which he successfully recovered in June after months of effort.
Earlier this year, actress and politician Khushbu Sundar also faced a hack, further highlighting the increasing frequency of such attacks. As digital security becomes an ongoing concern, celebrities are urging platforms to improve support and users to stay vigilant. Mukundan signed off his alert with hashtags like #StaySafe and #InstagramHack, emphasizing the seriousness of the issue.
