Unseen Wives Of South Indian Actors

There is a saying that behind every successful man, there is a woman. This holds true for our celebrities also. Many South Indian actors have very supporting and loving wives that we don’t know of. They don’t necessarily belong to the film industry. Here is a list of some of these unseen and beautiful wives –

R Madhavan and Sarita Birje –

Before becoming a part of the industry, R Madhavan taught communication and public speaking skills in workshops across India. In one such workshop in Maharashtra, he met Sarita, who came to attend the workshop. Sarita became an air hostess later and the couple started dating. They got married in 1999 before Madhavan entered into films. She has also designed costumes for a few of his films.

Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy –

Film producer Allu Arvind’s son Allu Arjun made his acting debut as a lead in 2003 with movie Gangotri. Before that he worked as a child artist in two films. While attending a friend’s wedding, he met Sneha Reddy. They say that it was love at first sight. After convincing their families, they got married in 2011. He has two children, Ayaan and Arha.

Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth –

Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, who is better known by his stage name as Dhanush, is an Indian film actor, producer, director songwriter, playback singer and screenwriter. He made his debut in 2002, which was directed by his father. In 2004, Dhanush married Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya, who is a classical dancer and film director. They have two sons, Yatra and Linga.

Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar –

Mahesh Babu is also known as the ‘The prince of Tollywood’. He made his debut as a child artist at the age of four. He started dating his co-star Namrata during the shoot of Vamsi. They have two children, Gautham Krishna and Sitara. After marriage, Namrata took retirement from her acting career.

Vijay and Sangeetha Sornalingam –

The famous actor from the Tamil Film industry, Joseph Vijay, made his debut as a child artist in numerous films which were directed by his father. Vijay married his fan Sangeetha, whom he met in the UK in 1999. They have two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Shasha.

Suriya and Jyothika–

Saravanan Sivakumar, who is known by his stage name as Suriya, is a television presenter, actor and producer, in the Tamil Film Industry. He made his acting debut in 1997 with film Nerrukku Ner. Suriya married his co-star Jyothika. They have worked in seven movies together. The couple has two children, Dev and Divya.

Ramcharan and Upasana –

Legend Chiranjeevi’s son Ramcharan is an actor, entrepreneur, producer and dancer. He made his debut in 2007, with movie Chirutha. The actor married his childhood friend Upasana in 2012. She is the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and chief editor of B Positive magazine. Although the couple says it was an arranged marriage, the two have taken the proposal to their families.
