Uppena Song Origin: DSP Is Back!

Though many new music directors and singers are coming and making their mark in Tollywood, people here won’t forget the old ones who gave memorable songs to them. Devi Sri Prasad, who was introduced to Tollywood with the film ‘Devi’, is one among them! This guy is not just popular for mass beats but also impresses music lovers with his melodies.

Despite his songs in the recent flick, Sarileru Neekevvaru not gaining the expected response, he is getting many offers. He is the one who is composing music for Panja Vaishnav Tej’s debut film ‘Uppena’. Now, the video of a song ‘Neeli Kannu’ origin is released and winning the hearts of the music lovers. The video starts with director Buchi Babu Sana asking DSP to compose a love song for the guy who sees the girl and impresses for the first time in his childhood in a temple.

Immediately, Devi Sri Prasad sings a couple of lines for which the director gets impressed. The song in the film is sung by Javed Ali and it starts with the line ‘Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram’. The song has reached 1 million views on YouTube already. Krithi Shetty is the lead actress while Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing the villain.

Uppena is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings jointly. Shamdat Sainudeen is handling the camera, while Naveen Nooli is doing editing. Mounika Ramakrishna is the art director, while Sukumar is presenting the film. Brinda and Prem Rakshith are jointly handling choreography, while Venkat is choreographing the fights.
