Venky Mama Opted Out of Race!

Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer 'Venky Mama' was said to be released for Dussehra but as Venkatesh injured his leg on the sets, doctors suggested him to take bed rest and so the shoot is halted for a few days, making filmmakers to postpone the release of the film. Now, the makers are planning to release the film for Diwali. So, Venky Mama is not participating in Dussehra race and surprisingly, Gopichand’s ‘Chanakya’ has replaced it! The makers of Chanakya who earlier planned to release the film in September have changed their mind and decided to release the film for Dussehra, by taking Venky Mama’s slot. The official announcement regarding the same will be made soon.

Chanakya is a spy thriller produced by Kishore Garikipati, Ajay Sunkara and Abhishek Agarwal. Steered by Thiru, Chanakya stars Mehreen Pirzada as the female lead. Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music while Stunt Silva is choreographing the stunts. Vetri is the cinematographer. Gopichand has no hits since 2011. He did 10 films in 8 years and all of them were flops, unfortunately. We have to wait and see if Chanakya helps him to bag a hit.

On the other side, Venky Mama is helmed by K. S. Ravindra and bankrolled by Suresh Babu with two others under Suresh Productions. Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput will be seen as the female leads while Thaman is composing the music. Prasad Murella will be serving as the cinematographer while Prawin Pudi is doing editing work. Coming to lead actors, earlier Venkatesh did a cameo role in Chay’s film Premam and now, they are doing full-length role together!
