Vidya’s First Look As Math Wizard Shakuntala Devi Out!

Vidya Balan’s upcoming movie is a biopic based on the life of Indian writer and mental calculator ‘Shakuntala Devi’. Recently, Vidya’s look from her look test went viral on social media. Now, the makers of the film have finally unveiled her look in the movie and the Mission Mangal actress is looking exactly like the ace Math expert.
In the first look, Vidya Balan can be seen wearing an orange saree and flaunting bob cut hair. She is looking spitting image of Shakuntala Devi from her young days. Her looks have earned her hundred out of hundred points and fans are loving it.
The first shoot of the film will be starting in London today. Vidya has done a lot of homework on Shakuntala Devi to understand her character and familiarize herself with Devi’s life and her skills. She has spent close to four months in studying Shakuntala.
Shakuntala Devi hailed from Bengaluru and is popularly known as ‘human computer’. She had also written numerous books on Mathematics, Astrology and Puzzles. She paved her way to ‘Guinness Books Of World Records’ with her talents. Her father discovered her talent when she was three-years-old and was able to memorize numbers when in card tricks.
A few days back Vidya commented, “I am extremely excited to play the ‘human computer’ Shakuntala Devi on the big screen. She was truly someone who embraced her individuality, had a strong feminist voice and braved many a naysayer to reach the pinnacle of success”. The movie is being directed by Anu Menon.
