Vijay Devarakonda Dominates Mahesh Babu!

We can measure the craze for a star in several ways and social media following is one among them. The easiest way for celebrities to connect with their fans is Instagram. Now, Tollywood Star Vijay Devarakonda has crossed 5 million followers on this popular photo-sharing website and surpassed top stars of Telugu film industry such as Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Stylish Star Allu Arjun, and Rana Daggubati. Prabhas has created his Instagram account recently, just before the release of his recent flick Saaho and so we cannot compare Vijay and Prabhas.

But Vijay dominating Mahesh Babu on Instagram is a big surprise to all. Mahesh Babu has 3.8 million followers while Allu Arjun has 4.6 Million followers and Rana has 3.4 Million followers on Instagram. Generally, in the film industry, heroes are given priority than actresses in terms of roles and remuneration, especially in Tollywood. In very rare cases, we can see lead actress dominating the hero in the movies. But, when it comes to Instagram following, Telugu actresses have more following than heroes.

Kajal Aggarwal has over 12 million followers while Samantha has 8.5 million followers. Happening stars Pooja Hegde and Rashmika Mandanna have 8.4 million followers and 3.3 million followers respectively. Speaking about Vijay’s film journey, he rose to fame with Pelli Chupulu though he acted in a few films before. After Pelli Chupulu, his film Arjun Reddy has become a blockbuster and collected stunning amounts at the box office. And then, his Geetha Govindam has made the audience fall in love with the lead pair.

Though Vijay also has flop films, people are ignoring it because of his hits and attitude. Now, he will be seen in back-to-back films such as World Famous Lover, Hero, and Fighter. WFL stars four heroines and will hit the screens on February 14^th, on the occasion of Valentines’ day. Hero was delayed because of some reasons and Anand Annamalai will direct it. For Fighter, Puri Jagannadh and Vijay are joining hands. Charmme Kaur and Puri are producing the movie jointly.
