Vijay Devarakonda Rejects 40 Cr Offer!
Though Vijay Devarakonda’s film Dear Comrade got a positive response from the audience and media as well, the film’s collections are below par. Before the release of the film, people thought the movie will be super hit like Vijay’s other films. But, much to their shock, Dear Comrade failed to collect a good amount at the box office. Even controversial director RGV criticized the film comparing it with commercial entertainer Ismart Shankar.
But Bollywood producer Karan Johar loved the film and bough its Hindi remake rights for 6 Cr. He tweeted, “Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes On point debut direction by @bharatkamma @TheDeverakonda is BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika well done @MythriOfficial ! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film”.
According to the sources, Karan recently approached Vijay Devarakonda and asked to act in Hindi remake and offered a whopping amount of Rs 40 Cr as remuneration. But, much to the shock of Karan, Vijay Devarakonda rejected the offer. Though the reasons are not revealed, the film not getting successful in Telugu might be the reason. Vijay might felt it is hard for the film to get a hit in Hindi or this hero might want to make his Bollywood debut with a better film!
Currently, Vijay is busy with his upcoming film with Kranthi Madhav. The film features three lead actresses - Rashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh and Izabelle Leite. The pic of Vijay with Izabelle did rounds on social media sometime back. The film will be set in the backdrop of Singareni Collieries and the story revolves around the triangular love story between the three female leads and Vijay.
