Vinaya Vidheya Rama Movie Review
The Storyline:
Rama is the lead character who has 4 younger siblings and he is responsible for their look after as they are all orphan. The story picks up the pace when his brother, who is an Election Commission Officer has a rift with a callous criminal of Bihar, Raja Bhai, a character played by Vivek Oberoi.
What to Expect?
Director Boyapati-Srinu has a unique style of direction which is often labeled as over-the-top when it comes to directing emotions, storyline or even action. However, he has his loyal fanbase for the same reason.
If you are watching Srinu’s movie we highly recommend tossing logic out of the window and simply enjoying the experience of grandeur and heroism. It will certainly refresh your mind provided you go with a realistic expectation form the movie. The storyline is usually predictable for any mass entertainer and Vinaya Vidheya Rama is no different.
Watch it only for the ‘star-power’. The movie completely revolves around the star and is a typical massy Telugu entertainer which will not disappoint you. If you love watching your favorite star perform stunt, actions, emotions, and dance to a little over-the-top degree, you’ll certainly enjoy this experience. However, if you are expecting anything beyond this you might be heading towards a disappointment. The first half of the film establishes the ultra-heroic nature of the lead actor while the second half outlines the villainous side of the negative character. The characters are in extreme contrast and so there was a need for an extra dose of opulence to combat the evil being portrayed on the screen, which justifies the direction style.
Performance Review:
Ram Charan’s performance is a treat for its audience who love to see him do a full-on action and drama. Rama’s audience was missing his signature style and Vinaya Vidheya Rama certainly provided him a platform to do what he is best at. The audience will love his dance performance and action moves. In fact, there are moments when the audience will see a reflection of Chiranjeevi in Charan’s performance.
Kiara Advani looks refreshing and has a great screen presence. She has a brief role and she did her part well.
Vivek Oberoi has delivered a good performance and Mukesh Rakhi was okay too.
The other characters like Aryan Rajesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Priyadarshini Ram had a small role and they didn’t disappoint.
Verdict:
It is a one-time watch movie for sure. Watch it for Rama Charan and Boyapati-Srinu’s signature style.
