Why Deepika Didn’t Tell Hubby About Being In ’83?

Deepika and husband Ranveer Singh, are currently in London and are busy in the shooting of their upcoming sports movie ’83. The film is based on India’s wining Cricket World Cup in 1983 and Ranveer Singh is playing the role of captain of the winning team and the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Deepika will be seen playing the role of Romi Dev, Kapil Dev’s wife.

In a recent interview, the Padmavat actress revealed that, when she was casted for the role of Kapil’s wife, she didn’t tell Ranveer about it. She wanted the news of her being on-boarded in the film should be given to him by the director. Deepika’s thought process was that, as Ranveer is an actor in the film, the information about his co-stars should come from the director. Extremely professional, isn’t it?

The other actors in the film include Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Harrdy Sandhu Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil and Sahil Khattar. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie will hit the silver screen on 10^th April 2020.

On the work front, Deepika was last seen making a special appearance in SRK’s film Zero. Her upcoming movies include Chhappak, which will be released in January 2020. On the other hand, Ranveer was last seen next in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, alongside Alia Bhatt.
