Yash Reinvents Himself in ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’
Kannada superstar Yash unveils a dramatically transformed avatar in the teaser of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geethu Mohandas. The film promises a sprawling cinematic universe that blends brutality with visual grandeur.
The teaser showcases a dynamic world shifting from circus settings to East Asian-inspired landscapes, layered with dark tones and stylised storytelling. At the centre stands Yash, undergoing a striking physical transformation — from a lean silhouette to a battle-hardened presence — signalling a bold departure from his earlier roles.
Beyond aesthetics, his body language and performance hint at a layered character arc, marking a new chapter in his career. The film also features Nayanthara as Ganga, Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Rukmini Vasanth as Mellisa, and Tara Sutaria as Rebecca.
Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with multiple dubbed versions planned, Toxic is slated for a worldwide release on March 19. Positioned as a gritty action drama with emotional depth, the film is expected to expand Yash’s pan-India appeal significantly.
