4,000-Km Padayatra, An Opportunity For Lokesh To Demonstrate His Abilities

Over the course of 400 days, a padayatra known as "Yuva Galam" (voice of youth) will go through more than 150 of Andhra Pradesh's 175 assembly districts, stopping at Ichapuram in the Srikakulam district.
Nara Lokesh, the son of Telugu Desam Party general secretary and party president N Chandrababu Naidu, will have a difficult challenge ahead of him when he begins a 4,000-kilometer padayatra (foot march) on Friday.
On Wednesday, Lokesh flew down to Kadapa and offered special prayers at the renowned "pedda dargah," Lord Lakshmi Venkateshwara temple, and Roman Catholic Church at Mariyapuram. He also received his parents' blessings and paid floral tribute to his grandfather, the late N T Rama Rao, who founded the TDP. On Thursday morning before leaving for Kuppam, he visited Tirumala to see Lord Venkateshwara.
On Friday morning, the TDP general secretary would start his padayatra from Kuppam, his father Chandrababu Naidu's home district, according to a TDP official announcement.
Before the state's upcoming early-2019 assembly elections, the padayatra would come to an end, according to TDP politburo member Varla Ramaiah. Since entering Andhra Pradesh's active politics about ten years ago, Lokesh has yet to get the opportunity to demonstrate his leadership skills.
