50% Of VVPATs Not Counting, Naidu Questions EC
Telugu Desam party chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday expressed that he was not at all angry with the election commission EC, however, it was angry with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as Modi is using election commission against all the opposition parties. This type of behavior is not good for democracy. Further stating that he will expose Modi on each and every platform.
On Monday speaking to media Naidu questioned EC for not accepting the demands of the opposition parties of counting at least 50% of VVPAT's in this election. Also, there was a demand for going back to the paper ballot. He further raised the question of what is preventing EC from counting VVPAT's, if its claim on EVM's is true.
Naidu also commented that no one should be a slave of technology whereas they should be the masters. And that as EVM's are not tamper-proof anyone could change the program in them and then the results of the election could be changed.
He also brought to notice that most of the countries have not adopted EVM's and gone back to the paper ballot.
