AP Assembly Heated up during Speaker Election

Though it is common for politicians to criticize, comment and fight in Assembly sessions, it is surprising to know that they did the same on the day of Speaker election.

MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of sending his ‘bantrothu’ Atchannaidu to accompany the newly elected Speaker to the podium along with Chief Minister Jagan instead of himself taking the responsibility.

Calling Atchannaidu a bantrothu trigged a fight and the whole AP Assembly has heated up today. Atchannaidu demanded an apology from the Chevireddy for his degrading comments against a backward classes MLA like him.

However, YCP MLAs backed Chevireddy by saying that Chandrababu should have avoided this controversy by accompanying Speaker himself

Chandrababu said that he didn’t accompany because he was not invited by the ruling party.
