AP CM Naidu Seeks Meeting with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy to Resolve State Issues
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has written to his Telangana counterpart, A. Revanth Reddy, requesting a face-to-face meeting in Hyderabad on July 6 to address issues arising from the AP State Reorganisation Act. This letter comes 25 days after CM Revanth called Naidu on June 6, offering cooperation to resolve the pending issues between the two states. During the call, Revanth also congratulated Naidu on the TDP alliance's landslide victory in the AP assembly elections, where BJP and Jana Sena are alliance partners of the TDP.
Political observers believe that the meeting between the two CMs could improve political relations and help solve various issues. There are at least 14 pending issues between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including power dues, the bifurcation of 91 institutions, and the division of cash balances and bank deposits since the bifurcation of AP to create Telangana on June 2, 2014.
Revanth Reddy, who was previously a TDP MLA from Kodangal in 2009 and 2014, has expressed his willingness to cooperate. Naidu emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, "As chief ministers of Telugu-speaking states, it is crucial to work together for the betterment of our people."
